Funding for Landcare / Community Groups

The following information provides details of a range of funding opportunities available to Landcare and Community Groups in the Hawkesbury-Nepean Catchment.

Landcare Community Support Officers may be able to provide further information and assist with funding applications.

If you are aware of other sources of funding or assistance please advise your CSO so we can share this information.

Riparian Management Assistance aims to protect, conserve and improve the condition of waterways, reducing the rish of pollution moving into creeks, streams and ultimately water supply reservoirs. $8,000 (plus $2,000 for equipment hire) 

Also Catchment Protection and Improvement Grants up to $10,000 for community groups

Voluntary Environment & Heritage Organisations program grants

The grants aim to help eligible community based environment and historic heritage groups by assisting with their administrative funding such as salaries, office accommodation rental and essential office supplies.

FarmReady Reimbursement Grants

Primary producers and Indigenous land managers are able to claim up to $1500 each financial year to attend approved training courses, with funding also available to cover excess travel, accommodation and child care expenses. FarmReady Industry Grants

Up to $80,000 each financial year is available to eligible industry, farming and natural resource management groups for projects that develop strategies to manage climate change impacts. End of September 09

Recycling programs, water conservation bush and waterway regeneration, protection of wildlife, energy saving programs, waste clean-up, carbon reduction strategies.
